What is Dental Amalgam?

We believe good oral health directly affects one’s wellness, and in this light, we do not provide silver/mercury/amalgam fillings.Dental Amalgam is an old dental filling material that has been used for many years. It is a mixture of mercury with at least one other metal. It tends to expand as it ages and causes fractures of the tooth enamel. Recently, sewer districts have identified some dental offices as contributing to polluting the water system due to mercury contamination. Mercury is a known poison and we will not handle nor place it in any patient’s mouth.
